yes i will definately take some more pics when i get a chance. they had to still install the illuminated sills, lo jack, and prep the car. im leaving for a business trip but will pic it up tuesday morning after i return. ill get more pics after all the wrapping paper is taken off.

pictures dont really express the intensity of citron green. i mean in the parking lot or even when it was int he service area, the color is just so bright and it really doesnt show the same way as when you see it in person. one of the techs said they dont need any light while working on the car. i must say im very pleased, more than i could imagine with the color. no regrets whatsoever. very very very happy!!!! no if i could only bring it home. :( i guess a few more days isnt much after 2+ months!!

It should be quite easy to find that car in a parking lot.

yes it was quite easy to pick out as we were walking thru the delivery lot looking for it. the color just sorta shines thru the cracks and crevices so you can see it no matter what.

I've only seen promo pics of this color...looks a lot better on your car than with the color balanced lighting tricks they play in the ads. If it's multi-hue'd like Orion and Paprika, I'd like to see pics of it in subdued (dusk) light and under mercury vapor (mall) lights...just out of curiosity.

yeah it is like orion and paprika and does change colors. ill post some more pics of different lighting conditions, but will most likely enjoy it once i get my hands on it for the first few days (weeks) :D .

Congrats! Once you go citron-green, the rest of the world starts to look pretty dull.

I've seen a few citron greens in my area and I personally think it's a pretty brutal color. I can't imagine finding a buyer when I want to sell the car in the future. But then again, color is a subjective topic. :p

First of all congrads on an awesome car and the most unique color mercedes has ever offered. In my book unique is gooooooood... But excuse my ignorance on your "awaiting mods"

I had a citron green SLK pull up next to me at a red light the other day and I put on my sunglasses in a hurry. The color just puts a smile on your face. Almost an anti-Benz color.

not looking to sell anytime soon!! also figured if im gonna spend this much on a car, im gonna get what i want, and not what others want when i sell it.

thats for sure. it isnt a color which makes you think mercedes, but it definately stands out!!!!

I've offer the proud new father a cigar, but I wouldn't want cigar smoke around such a beautiful baby.

I worried at first also about the resale, but I'm with CitronC230K_03 - it's after all MY car.

And in any case, when I sell it in 7 years, the type of buyer interested in a $10k Mercedes will be very different than the buyer interested in the new $30k Mercedes. So I don't think I'll have a problem selling the car - in fact, given that the buyer demographics will change - the color / manual shift combo might actually be a selling point!

here here. also if you think about it, someone who would go for that color, most likely will be a younger person anyhow, so the manual shift might be a better selling point. either way, im here to enjoy the moment and not ponder on the future. woo hoo!!!

you finally got your car eh? looks very nice. you're going to love the bi-xenons and the door sills. what color door sills did you choose? our cars are almost identical in their stock forms expect for the colors and wood trim. seeing those pics reminded me of when i picked my shiny new car 2 months ago. i loved that day. and everyday since has been a blast everytime i get behind the wheel. congrats, drive hard.
