Getting my Benz C230 Kompressor... Mod Advice..
I'm getting a hand me down C230 Kompressor 2005, as my mom is buying a 2007 ML350 in the next couple weeks.
I think I am going to get the grill changed to this EBAY LINK
anyone know where I can get it cheaper and have them ship it to Canada?
Any other advice as to where I can learn a bit about cars. I know nothing about cars and only now am I venturing into forums to learn more. I love the community that you guys have going around here, and hope to learn alot and eventually contribute.
Looking for any other advice as to what you think should be done to the car, I think I am going to get tints and maybe eventually lower it.

I am making the assumption that yours is a Coupe (and I have no idea why, except than an '05 Coupe is on my mind today) - and all the risks that implies. But even if it is not, the the suspension thread below is applicable, and Saprissa's is just a good read that will give you lots of ideas.
Look over Saprissa's 2003 EuroCoupe a la Mode thread , although his is a 2003 for some great ideas. There are a lot of other Coupes there, and lots of ideas. Many of the pictures may be missing at the end, but often they are reposted by the end of the thread. Another thread that is good reading for you is the W203/CL203 Suspension thread. Those two should get some ideas clicking for you.
As far as that grill goes, IMHO, it looks alot like the stock 02-04 grill. A lot of those people want to get the 2005 grill, so you could probably arrange a local swap with someone and both walk away happy.
Mods depend on what you want to achieve but in any case are often if not expensive, at least not cheap. I have seen it mentioned often on this forum that you can go cheap - and have to re-do your mod, or you can often use MB or higher end parts, pay more initially and have a durable and good looking car in the end. I think that is good advice.
Oh, and don't forget to have fun your new ride.

Yea sorry I should have said, I have the 4 door sedan.
I'm really thinking of going OEM with all my parts, going with kind of an OEM+ theme with my upgrades.
I was just talking to a friend of mine and I trust him alot and he told me the same thing you just said about doing the upgrades right the first time.

Sorry about that. I don't know why I just assumed, but then again, still read the Coupe thread, just for some ideas. Of course your 2005 will use a MOST fiber ring instead of D2B, but they have done some amazing things using MB parts. There are a LOT of goodies in Europe we don't get in the U.S.
If yours isn't the Sport Sedan, playing with that suspension might be a good start, especially since the sways and such are not that expensive.

HERE is a nice look
Here is MU's car it looks real nice. IMO I like the stock grill way better. I would paint it black instead of buying a new one. But that's just me.

2005 C200K Black
The grill that you had a link in your first post wasn't bad but it needs to have black fins. If you search for CL Grill you should quite a few posts on the forum. It is the one I got along with a OEM flat badge. Definitely looks better although the CL grill doesn't quite match the curve of the bumper although this is really minor and hardly noticeable. Have a lok at some pics and look at the bottom of the grill to see what I mean.
