Will the CL hood fit on the C sedan? That's what CEC seems to claim to do, or is it just that they change the grill?

The CL-coupe hood is much bigger than the C-sedan hood.

its a CL STYLE HOOD with a CL STYLE GRILL....

NOTE how my grill emblem is much smaller than the CEC one or the MHdecentz one.

$200 or $2000...its your choice

You mean that it's a CL-style hood, though, not an actual CL hood, right? I'm pretty sure that a CL hood is much bigger than a C hood. A CLK hood probably wouldn't be much bigger (if at all) than a C hood, as it's based on the C-platform.

Lorinser does make a CL-Style Hood and Grill for the C-Class, but it is expensive. MH-Dezent makes a CL-Style Grill, that fits the current C-Class hood, which we carry for much less than the Hood/Grill combo. This is what it looks like on a C-Class.

Feel free to email me for more information.

Mach430, does the Dezent grill fit the standard hood? How much money for just the grill?

I see nothing in the hood that convinces me to buy the hood, unless it's a hood modified to accept the Dezent grill, which will not fit the standard shape cutout, in which case you would have to buy both to get the grill... follow?

The grill fits the stock C Class hood, so nothing else is required. If you want any more info, please contact me at ben@evosport.com.

Thanks

The CL type hood is really expensive. I called about it and it was $2000 so I gave up the theory. Instead I just had my body shop paint my grill and paint the amber light on the side of the molding in the front to the body color and put on a SL500 emblem. I call it a little compromise. Hehe.

No the SL500 Hood badge fits well. Hehe. I had my dealer install it. It took about 5 minutes they just removed my old one and glued the new one on with some type of silicone. (so they said)

A lot of people tend to switch to the flat emblem rather than the Mercedes star. You can buy kit's which are designed to hold them in place on the hood (connected through the other side), from about every aftermarket company.

I think he's trying to say that he took the star from the grill of an SL500 and put it into his grill. I'm the one that sold Jorel the sports grill and when installing it, it appeared that it was an OEM grill that just had some pieces cut out and the SL star was put into the center. SO this guy isn't too far off.

Hmm i see there is a lot of confusion. No all i did was change my hood emblem so its flat and not sticking up. http://www.evosport.com/product/ext/....html#flathood This seems to be a good example of what I am talking about.

By the way I have no emblems on the back of my car. All shaved nice and clean except for the Benz sign.

Please try and post some pictures of your car. It sounds pretty cool. I do like the flat badges on the front. I think it gives it a more sporty look. As far as removing identifying emblems on the back, I'm not sure if I like them better if they are removed completely, or if somthing is done like renncpe did (pics in another post).

As for me, I will probably stay with the upright on the front, and the stock emblems on the back. I like the stock look too.
