My C with 19s! New Pics
Just got these MRR Design wheels in 19s. Hankook V104 tires, very aggressive bite, very very inexpensive! So far so good, I was afraid it will be too big. Ride quality is the same with OEM suspension and springs. Rough road causes a bit more pronounced road noises, and tires are bit more bouncy on rough road. On smooth road everything feels the same. Handling is significantly better compared to the factory 17s, cornering as you can imagine is also much enhanced now! I love the overall aggressive look, the car looks different and have a presence. I will have 19s from now on on all my future rides.

These are MRR Design wheels, 19x8.5 front, 19x9.5 rear, offsets are 32MM and 35MM front to back as I saw it on the boxes. Tires are Hankook V104 Ventus, 225-35-19 front, 265-30-19 back. I got the whole setup from ZOOM TIRES & SERVICE from El Monte, CA in the north LA inland area. The whole set up including mounting was out of pocket $1450!!

my car is a factory setting 2007 C230 sport suspension and springs. The ride is perfect, sporty and quite, of course 19s added noises on rough roads. Its a bit stiff as you can imagine but that's expected. Overall I would say I gave up very little in exchange for awesome looks, handling and added to the overall of the car.
I suspect your aftermarket suspension and springs are on the extreme side of sporty...Merc factory sport setting lowers the car to give it a perfect look but ride is still luxury sport NOT sport car sport, I would hate it if it became a really rough ride.
Right now my car is giving some hints it is stiffer and faster around the ramp and corners. All due to the new rims and much higher performance tires, this is as extreme as I will go. I think factory has the sport setting tuned just right, aftermarket tend to go more extreme for me it would be too much...

white and whiter
looks good. congrats.
however I must correct you that new rim has nothing to do with it handling better. it's your better tires that's doing the work. up sizing the wheels only hinders performance unless you are removing weight from the wheel at the same time i.e. light weight wheels.

nice wheels just not a fan of big open wheels like that w/o big rotors and calipers behind it...behind the wheels is nasty and i think it takes away from the car as well as the wheels...they become overwhelmed it seems...of course all imho!

i have 19x8 and 19x9.5 w/ toyos on front, nitto's on rear and stock suspension and my ride quality is just fine...now its not gonna be the same as with 17" wheels since the thicker tires will absorb more bumps than what can fit on 19's but they're just fine and I drive in Baltimore which is horrible!

Nice ride. I too have 19's staggered with Yoko S drive tires. Not bad for stock suspension. Just as everyone mentioned, bumps and road imperfection emits more road noise and slightly stiffer than stock. Smooth road is quiet as stock. My main concern is I'm starting to hear some slight creaks in the dash or maybe roof, and some slight vibration in the car in particular the passenger seat.
