Difference between A0031532728 and A0031532828
I recently got a W203 C180 sedan and for a couple of days now the engine stalls after I drive for a while. The local stealership crankshaft position sensor was defective and replaced it. The agent said the part number was A0031532728.
After coming home, I looked at the old records and I see that less than 2 yrs ago a part with the same descrition was changed. As replacement parts have a 2yr warranty I called back the stealership and he gave me a story about there being a 'front' and 'rear' CPS with the part numbers A0031532828 and A0031532728.
I don't trust what he says. My research on the net seems to suggest that they are the same part or slightly different parts used interchangeably.
Would anyone be able to help me with this?
Thanks a lot

EPC says same part as well, just new part number. Probably means you could use both part numbers. It may be that the new part replaced the old one due to a defective material/construction/etc. So therefore, when you replace your sensor, you need to hunt down a ..28 28 and stay clear of 27 28.

A) MB part # of "003 153 27 28" refers to "Bosch" # "0 261 210 170", [still available as "Bosch"]
B) MB part # of "003 153 28 28" refers to "DB/Temic" # : "0 11 323 018", [No longer available, have to get it as "OEM"]
