C230 quarter mile time
On a tC.. maybe he didn't drive his car properly or didn't give it all it had. It should keep up better than that. The tC is a peppy little performer.
Maybe he just sucked at a manual?
I find my car peppy but I know its not that fast.
Only other raced was an RSX till about 60. Pulled a car and a half twice on me.

(previous owner of a 350z.. totalled it by being so stupid to show-off.. lesson learned.. bought the c230)

Since my car is well cared for and with no engine troubles, I prefer the M271 over the M272 personally.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
... I've tried 1000 times and still can't get a decent little burnout. Yet i love my W203!

You can easily get a 335i over the 400whp mark w/ some tuning and some bolt-ons. Once I sell my w203 I might go back to a EVO. Depends.
I'm speaking of stock as in just a K&N intake. The owner didn't even remove the resonator. I'll probably go back to a EVO or get a EVO X. This mercedes scene is just too luxurious for me haha.
Edit:
Anyone who is even mildly car-savvy would know better. The N54 engine is underrated by 15-25hp at most. It's a lot faster than the non-AMG C-class cars, but it's a low-13 second 102-104mph car in the quarter mile, at best. It's certainly not underrated by the 200hp or so that it would need to accomplish a high-11s time. An E55 AMG with 170hp and 216tq is typically low-12s. Common sense.

11's is actually EVO territory as well. Perhaps you are right for the N54 engine, but you can't make a refference to the E55 because of weight difference. The E55 weighs somewhere around 3700-3800 or possibly higher. Weight is a bigg factor in the 1/4. I don't want to argue w/ you man, you know more about these BMW and MB's than I do. Ask me about Turbo'd Japan Econoboxes I'll being to talk haha.
