Rubbing issue..Please help!

Rubbing issue..Please help!

Hi guys,

I have carlsson 1/6 evo 19" on my w203 im not sure whether it is 19x8.5 or 19x10. It rubs on bumpy roads or have more than 3 people. The guy that i bought from gave me a pretty thick spacers. What is the right spacer size and lug nut to prevent rubbing?

Hey buddy thanks for introducing yourself. Welcome to the forum.

a little more detail would be helpful but the 19x8.5 has an offset of +40 (+45 = 19x10). So how thick of a spacer is on there? 12mm? (Probably more thicker i'm guessing)

I don't want to burst your bubble but even with the right spacers a lot of people get Tire Rub. Your only option is to Roll the Fenders.

Post the spacer size and the rims size. If they are all same size then you have 19x8.5 for sure.

don't use spacers at all??? or will it rub the struts if you remove them???

On the Lorinser LM5 +38 I have no spacers (in the rear) and it is clearing barely and I still get tire rub (no more than two people + 1 very skinny person in back). So I can imagine +40 might still rub without spacer (don't know the design of the rim that well) and if he does have spacers it will rub.

I think rolling the fender is his only option.

What do you think?

agreed.. i have no spacers on my rear and i rub.. my fronts have 5mm h&r so that my wheels dont rub on my coil overs.. +1 roll them fenders!

That depends on what you want - light weight, handling, looks, a combination of two? I've got 18x8 all around with fatter tires in back, which to me was a fair compromise (would have probably been interested in 18x9 in back if OZ made 'em for my car).

No. Not same as widebody. Rolling the fender basically rolls the fenders inwards. Imagine shaving the fender part off but not as much.
