Check those Teleaid antenna masts!

I washed my car yesterday and noticed the Teleaid Stubby on the rear windscreen was loose (it screws on). This is the second time I've had to tighten it in nine months. Just thought I'd pass along... I'm sure MB will want lots of bucks to replace one that falls off.

They don't put those on the cars without teleaid do they?

The Teleaid 'antenna' cost me $32.00. Found out the hard way after ripping mine off the first week with the car...was adjusting mirror while backing out and activated garage door!! Also put small dent in roof. MB dealer wanted $1200 to fix but used paintless dent repair instead for $250. The Teleaid 'antenna' just sticks on the rear window and has no active components inside, just a piece of flat foil. When the dealer gave me the estimate he said he couldn't guarantee the price because "there seemed to be something wrong with the computer pricing. The antenna is listed at $32 and that seems way too inexspensive for a MB part"!!

If it's just held on by screws, maybe some kind of lock thread stuff would work (I'm not sure what the brand name is, but it comes in a tube, and you sqirt some on the threads before you screw it in).
