ghosts in my radio?
so i just got my car back from the dealer for a front brake job. after a day or so i noticed on my multifunction display that my audio was stuck on please wait and then "---". The radio is turned on and playing music thankfully, but i no longer can adjust cd track or volume through the steering wheel controls. also, today when i arrived at my office, the radio did not turn off when i pulled the key out of the ignition. i had to manually shut it off. is this a radio problem or an electrical problem? is there something i can reset to see if it gets working again or is it time to upgrade to the COMAND? perhaps some ghost may have infected my system lol?

Their is most likely a cable loose on the back of the radio. i had a very similar problem when i installed my nav unit but figured out it was because a cable was not pushed in all the way. Have you taken the radio out before or had any radio work done to the car before? the is strange that it happened after a dealer visit because brakes have nothing to do with radio 
either a strange fluke or the dealer is trying to get you to come back and spend more money.
the reason i think that it is a loose cable is because you said that i didn't turn off when you removed the key. i remember on my pre facelift car theirs was a wire that's job was to turn on and off the radio with the car. gl
