Question C1 Option for C230 Sedan

Is the C1 10 way power seat option worth it. I will be the only one driving the car. I can spend the $1,250 on something else. What do think? Thanks!

If you're the only one driving the car, then it is not worth it. I don't have it and I have no regrets. My seat hardly ever gets moved, so it doesn't matter. I would spend the money elsewhere.

I was questioning the same thing when I ordered my car. I opted not to get the c1. The power seats with memory and power steering column is nice, but I just couldn't justify the increase in price for 2 more seat motions and the steering column feature. I'm thinking that money could be better spent on other things ie. bi-xenons or heated seats.

no

Only driver?

No way. Not worth anything, unless you're wanting to impress some yokels that you're planning to show the car to just after you get it

Seriously, it's just going to add weight to the car (oh YES it will!) and it's another complicated feature likely to fail or otherwise cause some grief in the medium term.

Arrow Not needed

I skipped the C1 on my C230K Sport Sedan. The "standard" seat has plenty of power controls to "impress" anyone as it is. Plus, I will never move it anyhow. Oh! And the steering wheel is super adjustable & easy to do as well even w/o the upgrade.

Just be sure to get the seat heat. It's cheap for a great option.

I have it and yes it was worth it to me. But my wife and I are not the same size and we both drive the vehicle so it is a very nice feature. Plus the easy enty/exit feature is great. Not to mention the fact that the seat is set for you and the mirrors and wheel when you put your key in. My wife and I love the option even though we are both to short to make it work perfectly because of the safety anti-crush a big driver feature. It stops the seat an inch shy for me a a few inches for my wife so we have to hold the memory button for a second or two to get the seat all the way up. But it is still great as my wife can raise her seat and have it all set when she drives.

I have C1 (and almost everything else except Command and a Slushbox) on my C240. The other day I took my car in for service and got an absolutely stripped C240 loaner (except the slushbox, of course). I noticed, big time, that the range of seat adjustment, especially in the angle of the seat bottom was very limited compared to the power seats. The seat bottom felt flat or even tipped foward like I was going to slide out of it and it would not adjust any more.

The moral of the story is sit in cars with and without C1 and make sure you can get comfortable without C1 before opting out of it.

I don't have it on my coupe. Heck, I didnt even want leather. I have it at the height I want it, so all I do is slide it forward. Plus the manual seats are too slow moving for me.
