Swapping Navigation between two C240's?

Hello,

First of all, I just wanted to say that I've read all the sticky's about searching first, and am a moderator on other forums, however this was a very specific question that I couldn't find any information on after searching. I recently purchased an 03 C240 as a winter beater, and so far I've been very pleased with it. I also have access to an 02 C240 as a parts car, only difference is that the parts car has a factory navigation unit. My question is how hard would it be to swap the Navi between cars, and what else is involved? I work for Mercedes so getting any parts that might be needed shouldn't be too much of a problem. If anyone has any experience with this, or if you need any more information about the two cars, let me know. Thanks,

Bob

Plug and Play. So can you part out the other car to this forum? How much for the chrome shifter trim if its in good condition? Also what color is it? Someone ripped off my rear bumper tow hitch cover and I need a replacement.

The car is one that we're going to wholesale, but they won't miss the navigation as long as I put my stock headunit back in :)

What about the GPS Antenna? I just checked and there is none on the back window of mine...

He has the year in the initial post. 02 and 03. So it will be plug and play.

lol how did i miss that. and i stand by my post of not plug and play. you have to either buy the adapter cable or buy the new plugs and move some wires unless you plan on doing a lot more work by stripping all the wires from the nav car to yours. also your radio might not work with the bose without programming but i really don't know 100% on that. the nav should work find though without bose but programming will be needed anyway so it doesn't matter. oh as for the gps antenna just buy one on ebay and put it under the grill near the windshield washers.
