It snowed here this morning, but nothing stuck. It's warmed up to 39F here. That's pretty cold for GA!

My 135i and C230 stay in a temp-controlled garage (at 70F). My car would refuse to associate with me if I left it outside like that!

Broad generalization, I think. Properly galvanized and cared for cars from snow states shouldn't really have any issues. Then again, early W203s were not properly galvanized so

I didn't see any. Didn't even see any rain.

That's because of the salt they put on the roads to melt the snow, makes cars rust and rot from the inside out. Ruins the value because it ruins the car. I would NEVER live in one of those areas.

Was snowing in Polk County, GA at 7:45AM. Roads were even dusted in white. Gone pretty quickly, though.

1999 CLK320 (sold), 2007 C230 SS (gone), 2000 Grand Marquis, 2011 CR-Z, stay tuned...
I am SO glad we don't often get snow here. Although I am slowly killing my car by having it sit outside at the beach. It makes me cringe every time I think about it. I do try to give it a good hose down every day though... but then I get awful water spots on the windows. And no, vinegar, nor alcohol-based wipes helped.

Stop hosing it down with that god awful FL water. Take it to a car wash and use Spotless Rinse.

My car spent a week sitting outside directly on the beach in Daytona this year. No issues with water spotting.

since i just made a thread i will use this one to talk about my god dam door locks. so last winter my front drivers door acted crazy doing the pogo for like two weeks. then it stopped and has worked find since. now the driver side rear door stopped working for a few hours. then it started working and stopped for the next few. so tonight i took both rear door panels off for fun to see what you can see without removing the airbags and the full insulation. so pretty much i could not see much and didn't want to pull too much off because i need the car today. well after i figured out their was nothing really to see or do without spending alot more time on it i put the door panel back on and tried the rear windows to make sure i didin't break the windows. so they would not work i was like f@*k i just broke both rear windows. they would work find from the front switch but would not work from the switches on the doors themselves. lol i was stupid i had put the child lock on because my stupid dad was screwing with the windows last time he rode with me. lol that made me feel really stupid. so while i was doing this i had the radio on so when i was done i tried to start the car and well it would not start lol. once i got it started my teleaid freaked out and then i was like great now i will have this error on forever. so i drive around in the icing roads to charge the battery in my pj's lol. once i get back i pull into the garage and turn the car off and the errors don't come back thank god. so what i have learned tonight... i love winter i had way to much fun in a parking lot lol in dyno mode. i am glad a cop didn't see me i was in my pj's no wallet wearing slippers that would have been interesting. i also learned that i need a new battery which according to my research will be 150 in my area. so i get my pay check friday so i will be spending 150 on battery possibly 150 or so on rear door lock thing still need new tires and i want to buy new rims and rear spoiler. so there goes the whole pay check without including food, gas, etc lol i guess i can't complain my car has been so reliable a door lock issue is not really bugging me because the front one is $110 which is nothing and the rear one i assume is about the same price. the battery is maintenance on any car so i can't complain same goes for tires. rims on the other hand i don't want to buy tires for a rim that i will replace in like three weeks or so that is stupid. i want the 17" sport rims from the c230's i think. but whatever still love my car just thought some of you would laugh at my day.

Trey.. if you're gonna go with C230 rims, the 2007s are the best. The 2005-2006 Sport rims are good, too, though. Either one will be a huge improvement. My tires are pretty worn, too, now. My car is still on OEM battery which seems to be holding up well. My car will be 5 years old on 1/25/2010. It's build date was 1/25/2005 (so a mid-late production).

i think the ones i like are the 05-06 ones but if i find 07's cheap i will take them. i am going to start a tire/wheel and camera fund so that i can actually plan where my money goes. i want the rims and a Nikon D3000
my battery is some advanced auto parts piece of crap that came with the car so it is at least 3 years old. i will be buying a Mercedes battery this week or next they last so F!*King long it is stupid not to buy one. Advanced auto = 100 Mercedes= 150. advanced about 3 years Mercedes sounds like 6+ if maintained. my build date is 4-25-01 so a late 01 must be why mine is so good
