Low beam right advice.

So last night I got a message saying "Low Beam Right". I stopped and looked at it and sure enough, it was out. I have been wanting to get rid of the dingy yellow color bulbs for a while but don't want to invest in a whole new headlight.

Do you guys recommend any bulb that gives off a bright, crisp white/blue tint like the xenons? I hate the ricers that roll around with the blue lights so I would like to stear clear of that.

8000k will do if you want to look like a ricer. If you want an OEM look with the most usable light available go no higher than 6000k. There are TONS of threads on HIDs so search.

I have 6000K and they have a tiny bit of blue tint to them....almost silver, if silver could be a color of light....I like em but would not go any higher.
I put 4000k fog lights in and they are still yellowish/amber compared....5000K would be what I think you're looking for.

Agreed. The most usable light would be around 4500-5000k. 6000k usually have enough blue to appear OEM. Past that and you start making your Benz look cheaper and cheaper, and your visibility in bad weather will deteriorate significantly. Blue lights should be left to cop cars.

lol my bad. i got 6000k but never put them in cause the spread with the clear lenses was retarded bright and blinding. never had the money to get projectors, but i would advise it if you go that route.

Hrmm soo where would I find these 5000k bulbs? I've been looking around at sites and none of them seem legit. They don't have any type of search engine that I can specify what vehicle they are going into. Would I need a kit or just bulbs?

HIDs are a system. A ballast, ignitor (sometimes both built into one unit) and a bulb. Google DDM Tuning. You need H7s. See the "XENON=PRESENT" thread for all the info you'll need.

So if I bought http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p...=102&parent=85 it would only cover my two lowbeams correct? DO I have to buy separate kits for my high beam, parking lights, foglights? Is this kit plug and play? 35W, H7, 5000K a good choice?

1999 CLK320 (sold), 2007 C230 SS (gone), 2000 Grand Marquis, 2011 CR-Z, stay tuned...
With error eliminators it is plug and play. If you have a dealership who will set your Xenon setting to "Present" then you don't need them. Your DRLs won't work unless you change the setting.

My left low beam went out yesterday and after buying a new bulb, it does not work either. Fuses are all good and don't see any loose wires. Any ideas of what could be causing this?

I recently got these bulbs:

http://store.candlepower.com/osraulhiouh7.html

I actually put these in the high beams and swapped the old high beams into the low beams. They are regular color, maybe a bit whiter than oem. However, they are really powerful and last as long as oem. Performance wise they are probably the best H7 bulbs you can get.

might look to see if a wire is exposed or grounding out. try switching your bulbs, L to R to if its the bulbs again. Are the bulbs blown?

The lower the Kelvin tempurature is, the more usable light there is. Most OEM's are in the 4000 - 5000 range and are not blue at all. 6000k has a hint of blue. I prefer 6000k as it is very white with no yellow hues. If you are doing driving lights, go with the lowest temp available for the brightest light possible unless color is a big deal with you.

Why were you unsatified with your DDM Tuning kit?
