ill perform Service A myself
hello ppl...
since i have no dealer here, no warranty either...ill b performing Service A myself. Car only has 8000kms or 5000miles in a perod of about 15months.
anyone here know what to perform for service A???? anyone kind enough to gimme a list of service a in ur maintenance booklets???hhehehe...thanks!

I don't have the specific list with me, but the most important thing is the oil change. I believe they also top off the fuids, check brakes, etc. Word of caution though, by doing it yourself you will get the message at 10k miles saying you need to perform service A and without the correct tool/laptop, it will stay there.

yeah...its in the manual....ASSYST can be reset personally.
so aside from bolt tightening, change of oil and filter....what other things should i perform????
my a/c filter is pretty clean, and so does my air filter considering that i only have 5000miles on it.

Function check
Check TeleAid by pressing SOS button
Horn, head lamp flasher, hazard flasher, turn signals
Warning/indicator, illumination and interior lighting
Windshield wiper, windshield washer systems
Headlamp cleaning system
Reset FSS counter in instrument cluster
Wheels, brakes
Check brake pads for lining thickness, front and rear
Check condirtion of brake discs, front and rear
Check tires for damage
Correct tire inflation
Engine compartment
Engine oil and filter change
Check and correct fluid levels
Engine coolant system, antifreeze and corrosion protection
Brake system
Battery
Lubricate catch, safety catch and hinges on hood.
Trunk
Correct tire inflation in spare tire.
Interior
Function check

However, I'm not so sure you can simply reset the Service A message. I'd have to check on that -- should be in the manual.
