c240 engine prob.
Hello,
Ive had my c240 (auto) for two months, covered around 1,700kms on it todate. My car's engine suddenly shuts down when i lift off the throttle to make a turn or slow down, it happened to me around 5-6 times already since new, the engine's RPM seems to shoots down all of a sudden, and the car is turned off while running. But when i restart the engine, everything works fine again. It does not occur everyday, but sometimes, when i slow down or while the car is idling, i notice that my rpm needle seems to go way below the standard rpm-and all i do is put more gas into it. Its an intermittent problem though.......any ideas???

I have heard this happen to a few people... the first time I read it was actually on the discussion board on edmunds for the C class. You should post there and you may get a better response. From my memory, I don't think any of the dealers were ever able to find the problem. Some had various parts replaced but not sure what they were and if it happened again.

i wouldn't have a clue why that would be happening..i mean, it is a brand new MB!...i think you should take it into the dealer, and have them check it out.
My only guess would be, perhaps you have a performance modification on your car?...something that would prevent the correct amount of fuel regulating to the engine?....i don't know if you have such a modification done to your car...but that's my best guess.
