Nice, very clean! How hard was it to do and what did you use?

Ya to say the least I was a little nervous about the color at first. I was always intending to go red up until I got to the auto parts store and saw they had gold. It reminded me of the gold and red brembo calipers on the 350z and g35. So I said you know everyone has red or soemthing like that so I am going with gold, especially on a black car.

I got actually gold engine paint from autozone I believe or something equivalent. It had a higher temperature threshold than the caliper paint so I figured it couldn't hurt. I also got some bull dog paint adhesive to help with the paint sticking to the uneven surface of our calipers. I put 3 coats of paint and 4 coats of clearcoat spray. Let dry over night (says 3 hours) and then put the decals on the next day which I got from eBay.

Whole process was pretty easy. Most the work was actually in the taping off portion. I should've done a DIY but I was utilizing my buddy's shop and his air compressor (life saver). Truth is we did alot of bull**#&&# and drinking during the process so it took me the better part of an afternoon and evening. He had a lift but a car was on it and we were too lazy to pull it off and put mine on (big mistake). So we jacked my car up and put it on jacks (truly a sad sight to see my car on 4 jacks lol). If I was nothing but business I could've done it in a matter of a 2-4 hours including the time between coats.

If you can't use a lift or air compressor goodluck. I imagine you will at least double your time. But well worth it in my opinion. It really stands out and is the first thing I notice when coming to my car. Best $15 I ever spent!

truthfully I've thought about going back and painting the parts of my rotors that show that are getting nasty looking, like a black. (not the drilled portion) Help with the oxidation and witht he looks again giving more emphasis to my calipers.

Looks good! I just picked up some 14' Brembo fronts and couldn't decide on what color I wanted. Gold was one of my top three, nice to see it would look good.

Nice looking color. Hmmm, now who did that before?

I just used the G2 paint, and it's holding up fine a year later. Piece of cake to do - I still see no reason to do it any other way, unless you want a custom color that they don't have.

Yeah, in a thread I started for the Racing Brake two-piece calipers. I think that Frank dissed me not painting the bolts (at least he consistently rags on everyone's car ).

idk to me it's a whole lot cheaper than replacing the calipers for asthetic reasons and it was relatively easy to do. Plus it look loos hella hott if you ask me.
