Who is Carbon Fiber suitable for?

I'm having trouble pulling the trigger on a carbon fiber spoiler. It gives me the feeling it'll be out of place, like a lone black grill on a stock prefacelift silver car.

What do you all suggest? Black the grill out and get the cf spoiler, or should I be focusing on more discreet exterior mods, like clear side-markers?

Thanks!

Do you have pics of your car? Is it stock?? On a silver car I honestly think if you vinyl the roof, paint grill black, CF wing, it will look pretty good.

i'd say carbon fiber is most suitable on WHITE cars...

i have a cf front lip on my car, and it's black. but the lip doesn't stand out/contrast as much as say a lighter colored car, like white, or silver...

I think it'll look out of place and suggest not pulling the trigger.

I have been struggling with the same decision. I have a CF lip and grille and my roof spoiler and roof painted black. Just still not sure if I want to switch my color matching for a cf trunk spoiler

100%

I want to go with a quad and diffuser as well but I heard the ones available fitment sucks

I found a place overseas that has amazing looking diffusers BUT way too expensive.

Lane - I would go wheels & clear blinker repeaters & clear headlights long before spoilers.

Clear blinker repeaters with my standard clear BiX & fogs & AMG replica wheels that widened the track & 235/45/17 PS2 tyres all round did a huge amount for the looks of my car. Exterior is otherwise standard but with Parktronic fitted new. I must take & post some recent photos.

I had to do something - I nearly bought a new car but mine has been perfect & only has 59,000Km's (36,000 miles) on the clock.

Here is a closeup of the rear I painted the rear with Plasti Dip (comes off very easily) so it's temporary.

Here is how it'll look with quads. Next mod after engine mount and bushings is definitely quads.

i think carbon fiber spoilers on a 240 is out of place. It looks alright on cars with the more aggressive AMG bumpers.

I agree with Glyn about getting wheels and headlights first. You get both function and form. I put larger AMG staggered wheels with PS2 and the car handles a lot better.

Your special collection with different colors, sizes and materials is my inspiration. I mean wow you probably invested over 30k in that collection. I heard the latest is the Presidential Lineup called the Star Spangle Banger!!!

Thanks, all. I have the clear sidemarkers on order. My rear tires are on its way out, a few more rotations and I'm in the market for new wheels.

I tend to keep my distance from rims because I know my car will look off without a drop. That's another 400+ dollars, if I'm not mistaken, for product and install.

OEM 05, 06, 07 17" would look fine with the OEM height. C240s are def not sporty stock, but you can certainly mod the car how ever you like, clear side markers make sence with silver, considered a body color spoiler at all?

Lane, I think the CF C55 spoiler is fantastic. It's one of my favorite mods to my car.

However, I don't think it would work well on the standard C240 height and without any other mods. I think you should focus on the other mods and then revisit this.

Go for it! c55 CF spoiler looks beautiful on a silver car.
A warning though, once you start modding, you wont be able to stop.
