Typical over estimate on the speed. 40mph maybe. And I just love how EVERY story has something to the effect of "If I wasn't in a [insert make], I would be dead" in it, always quoted by the "police" or the "EMTs" who always seem to know absolutely nothing about car safety. Almost any car (save for a Pinto) could've saved him in that crash. A 1998 Camry saved someone very important to me one time in a rear-end collision just as bad as that one. I have photos somewhere...

I am, however, moved by the "Engineered for Life" videos (see my thread).

Ah yes.. here it is. I took these photos on July 25, 2003. This Camry had a very special passenger (allowed stupidly to ride in the front), a 9-year-old kid I babysat for years and was very close to the whole family. It was struck by an Avalon as it waited to turn, pushed into traffic and struck twice more. The passengers were unharmed. I'm not naive enough to think that only that Camry could've protected them but I'll still always feel an allegiance to the Camry and harbor great respect for Toyota.

Now you see photos of why I had no reservations about recommending the 2011 Camry to you. You made a very smart choice and are in good hands.
