C320 Coupe Panorama Top
So far I have:
1) disassembled the gear assembly for both the glass and sunshade and cleaned and lubed worm gear.
2) cleaned tracks for glass and sunshade.
3) manually closed sunshade and tried to sync. Sunshade retracts fine but will not close, same as before glass motor chatters when trying to close sun shade.
What to do next? Is it the overhead console?
I took apart the gear boxes yesterday and cleaned them and reassembled I did notice that the sunshade cover would not sit flush just like your thread, warped. The glass motor gear box cover looks to be seated fine no warp.
why does the glass motor keep driving when it fully closed and not switch to the sunshade motor? What makes the system switch from on motor to the other?
When I manually close the sunshade it will open no problem but then not close?
Something is just not making sense to me, I am not sure how this system works. Please help me to understand.
Some one told me he that it may be an electrical failure with the overhead control panel. What are your thoughts..
The problem is with your SUNROOF MOTOR THE ONE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE, or LEFT SIDE of the 2 motors. Your cover is warped and the gear is not engaging properly. Take down the LEFT MOTOR and fix it per my thread, re-sync, and this should cure your problem.
I just bought this car used at a good price so I am new to the mercedes.
Another question.. Should my smart key open the windows and panorama roof, the owners manual says so but it is not.
Again thank you....
