2007 C230WZ Adding speaker to dash and free air sub to rear deck
I'm about to install a system in my car. I noticed the rear deck doesn't have any speakers, but it does have a circular area on the driver's side that can be seen in the trunk which appears like an 8" free air subwoofer can be custom mounted there. Anyone know if this is possible? In addition to mounting a sub there on the left, I want to have them cutout an area on the right and mount one there too. Is this possible without damaging too much?
Also, the dashboard has what appears to be a speaker unit in the center above the AC vents, but i don't think a speaker is currently mounted there because i don't hear any audio coming from it, plus a service tech told me it doesn't have a speaker there. Can a speaker be mounted there or has that compartment been modified to fit something else instead since this car didn't come with a center front speaker? And what size is this speaker?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Wardsweb has a thread on the sub. Fitted to some cars with Audio 10 & 20. Dual voicecoil. Takes feed from both channels. Center speaker was part of HK or Bose.

so i think ill do a single 10 inch sub woofer. Can anyone recommend a decent amp i could use to power a center channel plus the 4 door speaks and this sub?
