Does anyone know the procedure for removing the air inlet assembly from the grill end?

How do you undo the hose assembly from the grill assembly

think theres like 2 or 4 tabs on the shroud connected to the grill so just get a flat head and push them in. but I've seen some put just give them a good pull and it come off without damaging the tabs.
