Difference between 05 & 07?
first off, a big hello to all.
I just bought my 1st MB and got a great deal because of 1 issue.... A cracked passenger headlight.
I was wondering if there is any difference in the fit of an 05 c230 headlight assembly and 07 c230http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-06...mZ330516127898? the car, 2007 c230 sport sedan , has stock xenon setup.
Its pricey at MB so I found this on ebay and wondered if it would fit? The price is so tempting and the look is sort of cool.
Now since I have stocck xenon, would my bulbs just slip right in there? anyone else with healdight mods on 07s?

No there is a huge difference!!!!!!! Don't buy that.
You said your car has stock Xenon assmbly. Well that headlight isn't a stock Mercedes headlight and it's not even a stock Xenon headlight.
Unless I'm getting you wrong.

These are the closes ones that look like your stock headlight.

You can purchase this and try to swap out the parts and repair your original headlight. The reason I say this is you stock xenon is much better quality than this. But this is the best quality you'll find that's not factory.
If just the lens (clear cover) is cracked then you can take the lens off and swap it with the broken one.

ohh, are you thinking im looking for a headlight to match the driverside? if so, thats not my concern, i like the halo look thing, i was gonna replace both sides since i get a pair. my concern was whether it will fit directly and whether it would work with my lighting system.....d2s bulb fit.

Basically you have factory expensive headlights. But you have a cracked headlight. So you want to swap out your expensive factory headlight with these cheap aftermarket headlights which wont give you better light output.
If you put these aftermarket ones you will have to change both headlights because the light out put is going to be different. So I would say just buy this and use the parts that you need to fix the other one. And you'll have an extra headlight just incase the other side cracks lol

I didn't even look at the link.. I assumed if he had factory Bi-X, which are obviously projectors, then he must have been looking at a factory Bi-X light from a 2005 - which is identical.
That seemed like a VERY safe assumption.. I guess none is safe.
Edit: Now I looked and WTF. No cars should have halo lights except BMWs, firstly. Secondly, why would you scrap factory Bi-X for el cheapo projectors over a cracked lens?! Buy a good used factory Bi-X.

the bottom right of the headlight looks like a rock the size of a golf ball went through it. so headlight has to be replaced without a doubt

This is (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DEPO-...item2eb4621c29) the same as that but without the HID system. Since you have already an HID system get this and put your HID system like so.

how about bulb support though, if i get the one with no hid kit, then will it come to support h7 fitting...dont d2s require different connectors to hold bulb in?
Im assuming buying a set that is meant for d2s bulbs would support my hid kit and bulbs as well....

so what if I just wanted to completly get rid of my current set up since replacing it oem is so expensive and decided to buy these new headlights with their hid kits(h7 retros). will it directly fit in my 07 since it says only up t 05 w203? and can i pull out stock mb ballasts and simply plug in the ballast the comes with new headlights?
if im able to swap to aftermarket without fit issues, i;ll take that
