what exactly went wrong with the avic-d3?
did you purchase new or second hand?
i remember pulling 7+ hours to install mine (bluetooth, rear camera, etc...) then again for speakers... pain in the ****! glad to hear you fixed your problem.

the horror of install my sound system is over..
my car was getting horrible interference (to the point where i had to pull the main fuse to kill power to my amps). at first i thought it was the wiring that i did for my new speakers (thought it was getting interference from the power line) but it ended up being a picofuse inside my pioneer avic d3. this has been a pain in my *** for this entire week but im so glad its finally over and it didnt cost what people were saying that it would (i soldered it for free, costs 200 for pioneer to fix)
i just hooked it up to the car and tested it (yes at 2:30 AM lmao idgaf) and there was no noise so im happy.

its an issue with pioneers in general, there is a fuse inside that blows if you hot swap rcas (disconnect them and reconnect them without disconnecting the battery)
i actually bought mine used (and broken) for really cheap. it had a broken screen and i fixed that, it always had a bit of whine but after i changed the speakers it was super noticeable.
mcmudbug, if its only in fm i dont think its the problem. i think this issue only happens when you have rcas hooked up to the amp. another way to tell if its the issue is if it snaps and pops on startup

Thanks JFarhanbod! I have an x940BT and I figured yours and mine might be a little bit similar. Anyway, I did some experimenting and it only seems to happen on one FM station! It's my favorite of course.

Different brake pads lol I love my akebono, hardly any brake dust. But there are a few brands like meguiars that actually make a spray that prevents brakes dust from getting on the wheels.

I did a dark bronze photoshop and I dont feel like it really goes well to be honest. Right now im leaning towards stock silver and just pulling the wheels out and lowering it more. Do you know how much negative camber we can get in the back?

We can do a lot of negative if you have Ghostriders camber kit. I thought mine was pretty straight but my was driving behind me one day and said I had pretty good neg camber. Guess I'll push them straighter this week to see how close I can get to my fenders. I can smell the burning fender liner now lol

I really appreciate people with guts to try new things on their car. Even though doesn't seem right with red i guess that you will find a great color.

Lowered the front some more today, I'm tucking tire now. I'll get a pic soon but I wanna get my real camera out and get a real shoot. Polished might work but that's so much work and I feel like it goes better on lipped wheels haha. Gun metal would look cool but I also feel like it takes away more than it gives. Right now I'm feeling just the stock silver since it gives it sort of a clean VIP look (not really but thats the only way I can describe it haha)

Picked up an OEM Rack, fits perfectly without scratching. If anyone picks one up, there are 2 triangles between the door the door where you line it up so it fits and holds right. Took me a while to figure that one out.
Still have to roll my rear so I can put spacers in and get a CF Lip and the car should be done
