Deciding one day (not too long after I 1st bought the car) that Mercedes' ESP system must do well in the winter, turning it partially off with the switch, then losing control on a snowy major road at around 70-80 km/h (trying to gun it up a long hill without getting stuck), and sliding 20-30m sideways, uphill. Stopped maybe 1-2m away from T-boning myself against a parked car.

1st day owning the machine I:
1. couldn't figure how to unlock the doors (middle console, duh!)
2. couldn't open the gas latch (push, duh!!)
3. couldn't get the key out of the inginition (yank the f-ing thing, duh!!!)
4. didn't know that a tiny mechanical key resided inside the FOB, so I left it unlocked and watched the car all nite for 5hrs (wait, what?!)
LMAO In my defense, I've driven Honda's and 90's cars. "ain't no technology in a 90 EF hatch! only electric thing is the damned gauges and headlights"

Messed up my power steering pump but doing donuts with the ESP ON. Major fail on my part, I was only 16 and the car only had 5k miles. Warranty covered everything.

ESP had something to do with it?
What I've heard is if you hold the steering wheel at full lock, with pressure on the wheel, it toasts the pump, regardless of donuts or ESP.

One morning my hot 15 year-old sister came into my room crying. Dad had finally told her that her real parents were unknown - she was adopted. I was a good big brother.
