2007 C280 CEL - Is code stored after light goes off?
My check engine light came on for about a day and then disappeared before I could get a code. Is it still stored in the car?
I'm concerned because my car falls in the range for the balance shaft gear failures. I'm taking to a Benz dealer to have the transmission serviced($350), and brake fluid changed($100). Will the dealer be able to tell me anything about the CEL?

i think thats a recall for the balance shaft...
but if u go to autozone and have them read the code it will be free..
otherwise ur gunna have to pay for diagnostic at the dealership

Code was P0025
Looks like I have the magnet issue. I guess it is worth replacing all 4 magnets myself per the thread. At least it is not the balance shaft of death code.
