Help! Not sure how to go about drop

Alright. I reciently put my rims on and the car is still in desperate need of a drop. I wanted to go about 2.3 in the front and about 1.0 in the back. I can't find springs that will give me around that kind of drop. Any suggestions anyone??

i really don't want to do coilovers.

You gotta go coilovers if you want to go with that much of a drop. Another alternative is to cut or heat the springs which isn't a good idea...

Which model car do you have? Also, look through the picture thread and find a car that has the drop you like. Then ask the owner what he used. I'm willing to bet you won't need a 2.3"(58mm) drop.

I agree. It's insane to spend double for something unless you plan to re-adjust the height often. Go with the cup kit.

Allot of shops have told me to just cut my original springs? Im not too sure if that's a good idea. I have a 2003 c240.

Your stock shocks are never meant to cope with the "cut" springs, I am pretty sure your shocks will die much sooner than they should be. Then you will face a couple of problems: 1) you need to replaced the stock shocks 2) you need to buy another set of OE springs. You will end up spending more than you buy a set of Cup Kit (or even COs)!!
