Unfortunately, I am using that part as well. Sorry.

I will let you know if anything changes.

So I was putting the hood on my car when I noticed part of the support system for the hood was damaged/broken.

Now I have to take the other ones off the donor car. Need to take the fenders off. Woohoo.

First picture shows the support system intact. The second is the damaged one.

So I spend about 6-7 hours Sunday morning taking apart the fenders on both cars and installing the hood support along with the hood, bumper, and headlights. This is a before and after thing. I don't have a camera so I had to take pictures with my cousin's Iphone 4 because my Galaxy S2 crapped out on me. Bummer.

Also. I didn't wash the car.

Also decided to tear apart the interior this morning.

What's interesting is the VIN is also imprinted on the frame.

I've attached a picture. Outlined in yellow is the part I inquired about purchasing. I don't need the shifter, shift knob or trim.

Do you just need the door pulls or the screws and cover that go with them?

I must have missed this one. Is there a difference between the driver and passenger one?

Are you sure you don't need the whole climate control unit?

And as far as the whole car goes including expenses, this is the exact amount.

$3158.95 Cashier Check
$255 Deposit
$54.57 Gas for Houston
$8.41 Breakfast for Houston
$14.25 Lunch for Houston
$44.93 Gas for Dallas

Grand Total of $3536.14 if I can add properly on a calculator.

I plan on replacing mine since the one that was in there was damaged on the driver side where it connects to the center console.

Can you re wrap these?

The whole enchilada would be great, but if it's only the pulls, that would be ok too.

Also, do you have the parts off the old hood, the inserts with the nozzles (shown in the first pic of post #30)? If you do, I'd be interested if they're still in decent shape.

It appears the driver and passenger sunvisors are different (mirror images of each other). It appears the little door that covers the mirror on the sunvisor is interchangeable to either side. If you can get one of the doors separated from either sunvisor without breaking the little mounting ears, I'd love to have it (preferably the driver's side since it has the original warning stickers on it, but no biggie).

No, they're fine. The insert tray's paint looks nasty at the bottom, so I'm thinking about other options, and an extra to play around with would be good, in case I f*ck it up.

If you are referring to the hood grill, the spare one cracked in half when I was removing it because I forgo to take off the screw holding it in the middle to the hood

I'm talking about the insert that has the windshield nozzles attached to it. If you cracked it, bad Edgar!

No real biggie if it's broken. Thanks anyway.

So that we're on the same page, here's the listing for the part on RMEuropean:

Sorry, Miss Manners, I don't memorize every single car part's name.

I will now accept your apology for cracking it, when you were fully aware that I wanted one.

The grill is like 50 bucks on car parts. Haggle it down!

And I broke it before you even mentioned it!

So interestingly enough I lost several mpgs after putting the hood back on but I got a better acceleration in return. I guess you mileage suffers one way or another
