My car is indisputably a POS. The dealer can literally not even keep up with the problems before new ones crop up. Most recently, the front end bushings have failed TWICE within 6,000 miles and I'm having electrical problems, too.
Anyone know how to initiate a friendly buyback process? Any advice is appreciated.

Assuming that you already spoke to the dealer and they are unwilling to buy the car back, I would contact an attorney that specializes in lemon law cases. I would also do some research into the lemon laws for your state.Originally posted by RedC230K

The dealer said, "Call Benz."
In IL, I don't qualify for the lemon law. If one thing goes wrong 20 times, it's a lemon. If 20 things go wrong once each, you're outal luck.

One solution would drive your car to the bad area of town. Get out leave windows opened, a little, and walk away. Next, get some food and then call police that your car was stolen. Call insurance company and fax them police report. Get a loaner car until old car is found. By then it will be totally gutted ( in and out) and buy a new car (not MB 230 Coupe). Might purchase a 2004 C230 Sport Sedan. But if you want a car that looks good and drives better than a MB get an Infiniti G35 (sedan or coupe).
