Annoying P0420 & P2A03
Hi,
When I bought my car there were a lot of errors which I consequently fixed, almost all of them, except of the pair of P0420 & P2A03. My car doesn't have catalityc converters (there are strongers instead, with the mini-cat spacers). A bit of background: P0430 was fixed by replacing both downstream O2 sensors (the same for P0420 - initially it generally occured without P2A03). But, after the downstreams replacemnt, P2A03 started flashing every day after the 10-20 miles, it is almost always comes together with P0420. I replaced left (bank 2) upstream O2 sensor - nothing happened. Then I replaced MAF sensor and double-checked vacuum lines - and replaced all of them by the new plastic tubes and brand new high temperature silicon pipes. MAP sensor shows 38-40 kPa on idle (but intermittently drops to 23-25 kPa after the medium rpms (2-2,5K), MAF shows 3,3-3,8 g/s on idle (and up to 10 g/s on 2500 rpm).
The problem is really annoying - engine works like a charm, fuel consumption is absolutely satisfying me, but those errors make me crazy every day. What I missed?
Engine is M272, 2.5L.
