Temporary rumble after replacing belt related items
I decided to replace the belt too since it had to come off anyway.
Anyway all went well and I took her for a spin on the freeway. On the way there (cruising around a steady 40mph) everything seemed fine...nothing out of the ordinary. Well, shortly after hitting the freeway and and accelerating to about 70mph I suddenly noticed the vehicle began to kind of rumble/shake and it seemed to lose power ever so slightly.
I decided to pull into the breakdown lane and inspect things. First thing I noticed was a sort of rubber-burning smell especially evident around the rear-right wheel. I looked around and didn't notice anything intruding (buddy told me a plastic bag might have gotten caught in one of the rear tires).
Anyway I got back in the car and started driving home and to my surprise the rumbling had ceased and the car was driving fine just like it should.
I haven't experienced this issue since...which is making me wonder what caused it in the first place.
Any ideas?
