AMG put the 3.2 Kompressor in the C Coupe
Last weeks UK autoexpress magazine shows pictures of a AMG C32 coupe (with a piece of grey tape over the C32) along with the AMG body kit and twin exhausts. (0-60 in 4.5, 160mph, 349bhp)
They also talk about a C30diesel (3 litre, 200bhp)
They claim launch for both is August.

I'll believe it when I see it, but it would be an awsome car.
However, it seems unlikely to me that the 3.2 Kompressor would go into this car. I mean a C-coupe besting both the C32 sedan and the SLK32? I'll eat my words if it happens, but I don't think it will. I think they will limit the HP so it does 0-60 in the 5's. It is not as if the coupe competes with the M3, and usually companies do not raise the bar that high so quickly.

I was about to go hog wild modding my coupe but the knowledge of an up and coming AMG model makes me so giddy I will hold off until I can verify the facts. You can bet I'll be first in line. I'll still put in the HID kit.

I have to agree that a C32 AMG Sports Coupe does seem a bit adventurous...perhaps it's a smaller displacement and that would account for the tape over it?
But I have heard reports of the C30 CDI AMG Sports Coupe, so let's see if they build this one.
Either way, August seems a bit soon...

Both the C32 Coupe & Diesel exist, I saw them both last November at the AMG plant. We were told then that the C32 Coupe was a special order & the Diesel was soon to be launched?

Of course, I'm a soon to be C32 AMG sedan driver (just a few more months!), so I think the automatic will be fine. Speedshift isn't all that bad, but then again I've never driven a Mercedes manual...or the coupe for that matter.
