Problem with the side-brake!
since then I started having a problem with the side-brake! usually when I stop at a traffic light, I leave the gear on Drive and pull the side brake only. lets not talk about how that can harm the car now... but I've always did that. till the morning I took my car to that shop. it was normal.
but after putting the new brake pads (which they probably has nothing to do with the problem) every time I pull the side-brake when the car on drive it feels like the rear wheels are spinning. a very loud noise come out and the car go forward a little bit then stops.
sometimes when its on Park but in downhills and I pull the side brakes the car still move a little. unlike before.
today I pulled the side brake whith the gear on D and I'm waiting at the traffic light and all of a sudden I started getting a very very loud nouse. like metal breaking or something. I took the car to that shop, they said it has nothing to do with what they did and they didn't even come close from the sidebrakes.
so wtf is goin on?
on a side note... that shop isn't mercedes shop or anything. just a normal shop. and when he fixed the new brakes all what he did was jacking up the car (is that the right word? lol) removed the wheels and placed the new brake pads after removing the old ones.
1. My car moves a couple inches after I apply the e-brake if I'm parked on a hill - its the design of the rear brake/e-brake - it doesn't grab hold right away sometimes.
2. You leave the car in drive and pull the e-brake?
Wow, please do yourself a favour and learn something about cars!3. Your tech might not have left the e-brake a little "loose" and thus when you apply the e-brake its not grabbing hold all the way and leaving the car in drive, its actually trying to drive away!
4. WHY? Why do you pull the e-brake and leave it in drive?
