Low beam always on even key took away

I installed HID 55W 4300K H7 kits to my 2007 C230 and it worked two days.
It stopped working tonight and I disconnected and removed the HID set.
The dash board showed " low beam left , low beam right " not too later after HID connected. The HID worked fine for two days and now failed.

I re-install original Halogen H& low beam back to the car. Left side is fine.
The right side low beam is always on even I take away the key. I have to disconnect the power plug connector to let if off.

Can any one have it before or advise?
Thanks!

Without seeing it, I think you a victim of those selling counterfeit lamp capsules and power supplies made with cheap components.

I doubt the lamps you bought are 55 watts. The max for automotive HID lighting is 35 watts. The problem is in the power supply. The undamped flyback pulse from the power supply took out the transistor in your front SAM. That will be expensive.

There are some that can be repaired, but that is really no bargain either. I wish I had better news for you.

The slim HID was bought from Ebay for US$24. It is 55watt H7 low beam Xenon 4300K.

one more point: The right low beam was unplugged, the main light switch was turned to off and not auto, the DRL function normal but with left low beam on when entering dark area.
As Canadian car, is it normal?

further testing of the lighting " Canadian car":
The right low beam is always on even the key is taken away. A switch is added to turn it off. So the following tests without right low beam.
The light is off position, the left low beam is only on and the day time lights are all off.
When switch to AUTO, only left low beam is on same as the switch is in off position.
When the switch is in day time position, all day time lights works fine and no left low beam on.
When the switch is on headlight positon, on left low beam on.
Does the day time light sensor dead or front sam module dead?
Thanks for advice!

The low beams are normal after replaced the front sam module.
Hi, Moviela, can you figure out which transistors burnt out?

I can, but in many cases you not only lose the transistors (which are not discrete) but the entire I/O driver. These parts are highly integrated and surface mount. This makes repair very difficult without a specialized soldering station and a person that knows how to work it. There is also a problem finding sources of small quantities of parts needed.

I suggest a remanufactured unit or repair of your own:

Thanks, Moviela,
I can handle the process if I know which components need to be replaced.
That's the spirit of this forum for DIY members.
Can you kindly show me the faulty parts?
