New Transmission Mount?
I need a new Transmission mount and am doing the DIY. I found this site and they have one for super cheap? http://www.ecklersmbzparts.com/merce...0-chassis.html
Has anyone ordered through this site? Also do I need OEM?

I don't know that you need OEM necessarily ... however this particular part is critical in how the rubber behaves over time as it bears the weight of the transmission.
I bought what was declared to be an OEM replacement and I think I got a Corteco ... but I also have Corteco strut mounts and they've been fine. If you can get a name you trust for under $40, I'd rather spend the extra $20 and not have to worry about it. It's a relatively easy part to replace, but still you don't want to be replacing it every other year.

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
Head over to Pelicanparts.com. They have Lemforder (best choice) and Corteco (just as good) in stock. Anybody that advertises parts and does not tell you the name at a cheap price are probably selling lousy parts. You know, the part you must replace to sell the car.
On a recent trip to Hong Kong a friends C class had a bad belt tensioner. He did not want to spend the money the dealer was asking to get it fixed. I said we could DIY in half and hour. He said great we can then blow the rest of the money at Happy Valley. He said everyone goes across the border to buy parts because they are cheaper. I was amazed at all the Benz, Audi, BMW parts that were on sale at 20% of what the dealer wanted. Trouble is they were all local made, cheap, low quality parts. I clicked the glove no, and we bought the parts from the HK dealer. It was double the cheap parts prices, but the car sounded great and we had about HK$2500 to put on the ponies.
