Mis-mapped power seat controllers

I looked all over the place for this and couldn't find and existing thread. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist, so I apologize in advance if I missed it.

Just bought a 2003 C320 and the driver's power seat controllers are not mapped to the right actions (I knew this before purchasing). For example, the seat aft controller actually moves the seat up. They're all mis-mapped like this, including the M memory button.

My initial though is that the cause could be an incorrectly connected harness somewhere, but I appreciate any direction you can offer.

THE C350
First thing I would do is check the buttons on the door they probably need to be replaced. That said if someone was messing with wires somewhere that could really mess things up and would take some diagnostic work.
I believe if you have a star system you can move the seat using it. I know I can turn on individual lights and open windows so it would not be that far out.

Thank you samaritrey. The buttons look to be in good shape cosmetically. I'll check out the star system. Thanks again.
