Our regulators believe we are to stupid to adjust our own headlight aiming. I afraid that for 95% of the people they may be correct.

The D-ring in the cargo compatment floor are standard equipment on the coupe, and the sedan with the optional fold down rear seat. The are the attachment points for the cargo nets.

We have a plug for a phone in the same location as your car. The phone is different, since we have different standards than Europe.

I don't have either the phone or COMAND, so I can't address the next picture.

My multifunction display looks the same but, it is set for English and miles.

I think you're right, Lynn... .

...and for the remaining 5% who would abuse the privilege of manually adjusting the headlights to blind on-coming drivers for fun... :p :p

I'm not an advocate for big government, but I have no problem with self-leveling headlights

Lorinse, does command have a choice of portuguese for the menu? I see on the photo it seems to be in spanish, is that your preference? Or is the word for 'calls' the same in both languages?

LyNN and MB-BOB self-regulating headlight beam it is a bonus! It´s a great trick, because in those days taht occurs bib fogs, you can see nothing in your front, but if you point the beam more to the ground it will help you out a bit!! So that what the self-regulating needs for!
Columbus- the command doesn´t have portuguese language, but i´ve putted in spanish, it´s very look a like portuguese
Today i went my local car parts shop to pic the new item, to put in my car, to take out those horrible tips poiting to the ground, take a look:

Your cargo carpet is different than mine. You have V-shaped notches on each side where the cargo floor pivots. Mine is constant all around the cargo area.

Obrigadinho, Lorinser. Ja sei - chamadas, llamadas, bem parecido, nao e?

I'll never forget my trip to Portugal (in '85 or '86) in my old '76 Golf GLS. Drove all the way from Berlin, via Barcelona, Zaragoza, Madrid, Caceres, Beija, Setubal, Sagres, Lisboa, Obidos, Peniche, Caldas da Rainha, Coimbra, Guarda, then back via Salamanca, Victoria, San Sebastian, Bordeaux, Paris, Belgique, Cologne. Man, I drove my a$$ off back then. Would love to repeat the trip, but this time in my C-coupe

You're right, the 220 CDI engine is mega fun! I rented an E-class with the same engine last summer in Germany. That's some neck-snapping torque, boy! If they sold it in the states, I might have opted for it. Although the Kompressor is almost as awesome, and lighter. Even the sound reminds me of the CDI sometimes - right after cold-launch, and under heavy breathing, er, acceleration

What is that mobile phone option that you have?

Is it the one you can get from MB? Just curious because that is not the phone that MB sells. Just wondering if you can use any phone in it?

Thanks,

Tim

So that is the phone that MB gave you?

I thought that you could only use the MB startac/timeport phones with the phone option? I'm surprised that the Nokia works? Does anyone know why this is?

well, here in Portugal, i think taht MB uses vary telephne brands, like motorola and others, but for this car i think they just work with nokia. I already had this telephone, and they said MB, that this was the precise telephone for the hand-free kit! I said just great!
But just the free-hand kit it cost me about 1800, 2000 U.S dollars!!! pretty expensive! plus telephone!!!
Best Regards
