2002 C230 Kompressor Differential Rear Axle Fluid? Is the change ok?
So the owner's manual of 2002 C230 Kompressor calls for SAE 85 w90 hypoid gear oil.
I went to the Benz dealer and gave me SAE 75 w85 gear oil (part number 001-989-33-03-12). The receipt shows that 001-989-33-03-12 replaces 001-989-33-03-10. I also asked the clerk and I was told that it was changed.
Is it OK to use SAE75W85 oil when it calls for SAE85W90?? Am I in the clear?
