2005 C240 electronic steering wheel travel limit
Hi. I just bought a 2005 C240 4Matic Sedan with the electronic steering column that goes up and down and telescopes in and out with a lever. What is odd is that it moves up and down only a little bit. I would say maybe 2 inches up and down each direction. I think that it should have more travel in it, should it not? Even at its highest point, it is too low for me.
Has anyone experienced this kind of issue?
Thanks in advance.

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
4 inches of travel is about all the vertical adjustment you get. There is a gear that breaks on these, but it usually just stops.
Have you tried lowering the seat? There is an electric switch that looks like a seat cushion that raises and lowers the seat. There is also a hand wheel on the side of the seat that raises and lowers the front edge of the cushion.

Thanks for the confirmation! I will monkey around with the seat a bit. I would love if someone could post one photo of their wheel at its highest position, though. My highest position just seems so low.
