I want a dvd/ gps. Cheaper to go salvaged command unit or aftermarket? 2007 c280.

I've seen the multiple threads on retro-fitting the command unit into pre-facelift w203's but nothing on the post facelift.

I've read up on the command 2.5 ntg and have priced them out to about $200 shipped for a used unit. What about the wiring existing in my car already? All previous threads on pre-facelift w203s says its plug and play, did the wiring remain the same for the facelift cars? If the DVD feature works, radio works, and hard drive/ SD card slot still works im ok with the navigation not working. I understand there may be additional wiring for the GPS antenna and software to update the gps so Im willing to sacrifice that functionality to avoid running those wires or finding the GPS software.

So easy questions.

Can I pickup a mercedes command unit and plug it into my 2007 c280 dash?

Is the wiring/ connectors all the same?

Is the 2.5 ntg the unit I want?

Or,

Am I better aftermarket?
