Just bought a C230. Opinions?
Hey guys! I just got a 2007 C230 from its original (Lady owner) with low miles. The car is completely stock and boring. So far i've only got a front lip, HIDs and aux converter.
I want to custom the car, but i don't want to ruin its classiness. just tasteful little mods. I am thinking to plastidip my wheels black or get those 18" black wheels, and tint the windows. Maybe lower it? the color of the car isn't very helpful which is why I am thinking of the blacking out idea. (Tinted windows & Black wheels)
And ohh. Is it normal that this car is WAY TOO slow?! I was so surprised when I first got it of how slow it is. I though a 201hp would have more power than this. My previous Benz was a 2001 CLK430 which was WAAAAY faster and more fun to drive.
Any ideas/opinions are much appreciate it.

201 isn't that much these days, and it's a pretty hefty car, so yes, it's going to feel slow. Didn't the 430 have a fair amount of hp more than that?
Your OEM rims are very heavy - if you're not going to get lighter rims, you'll just be making your car slower, so keep that in mind.
I actually like the color of your car - all these damn black and silver Benzes are too much for me to take.
Otherwise, some thicker sways, tint it, and drop it a reasonable amount, and it'll still retain the class while being improved from a fun factor standpoint. Then you can think about the headunit, modest replacement sub, etc.....

I believe this model is a 203 not a 201. My 430 was a 275hp and this one 201. I figured it would be slower but NOT THAT MUCH! Lol I also have a 2005 BMW 325CI (189hp) fully stock. MUCH faster than the C230. I am assuming the C class is heavier than both my other cars?!
Thanks for the tip on the weight of the wheels. didn't think of that one.
I like the color as well but it isn't as easy to customize as a (White, black, silver)
PS: I thought it was silver when I bought it, until few days latter when it was parked in front of the shop, and an "ACTUAL SILVER" C230 parked next to it! It freaked me out and i was soo confused! Haha
I was thinking of upgrading audio, as I did myself on my clk. but I want to do exterior, engine then interior. The sound system isn't too bad so i don't mind it for a while.
