Bumper Not Fitting.

Hi

I have bought and fitted the following on my car.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Depo-Clear...item2c7059ccb8

The lamps are not sitting properly and i have not been able to fit the bumper back. there are visable openings where the bumper and fender meet.

No matter how much i push the bumper is not going back.

Im stumped, and my car looks horrible too.

Please Help

Zain

Can you show some pics ?
There are long grey adjusting screws to align the headlights to the car body , did you adjust those ?

Yeah, pics would help. And yeah, definitely check the grey screws. I have an aftermarket bumper & some new headlights (black). I have a gap issue where the bumper meets the headlights, but It doesn't look all that bad on my car since the headlights have a black housing & my car is white, kinda blends. If you experience the gap, the most you can do is buy some weathering strips.

No probs, they are screws they are 3 screws I think that look exactly the same, and they are not the ones that adjust the headlight reflectors, If you still can't find them tell me I'll snap a quick pic for you !

Its not letting me post any pictures. i did look for the screws but couldnt find the screws you mentioned. If i could trouble you for a snap that would be wicked.

Also, do canbus cancellers work the same as xenon=present for the hids.

Finally there was a plug on the old headlight with a purple wire. it was like a air valve. i cant find anywhere to put it.

Ok sure i'll send you pics of it now, i bought the exact same headlight so it'll look the same for you, i'm modifying it with Morimoto FXR-3 projectors that's why it's opened.

If your car has no Xenon, then you can just install the canbus thingy yes and it'll just work, it basically has a little circuit that makes the car think it's a halogen lamp not a Xenon one (by using a coils and resistors, not really high tech in that box)

Yes the purple line is the vacuum line, if your headlight came without it then you must take off the membrane from the old headlight and put it in the new one, if not the headlights will be pointing low, it's very easy to install too.

Sorry to be a pain but could you explain what you mean a bit more please. Is there maybe a thread on how to do this.

I've seen fxr-3 projectors and they look AWESOME. If I only I could do this. The depos are brilliant but still leave a lot to desired.

Thanks for everything m8 and sorry to be such a noob.

No troubles at all, i'm not sure if there's any tutorials, but what you need to do is grab the big round thing on your old headlight "where the vacuum tube plugs in", rotate it counter clock wise, it'll unlock, then you can pull it out (you'll need to wiggle it a little)

Once it's out, install it in reverse order on the new headlight, pop in place, then rotate clockwise to lock. it's really straightforward you don't even need a tutorial !

Have fun !

Thanks again. Am I right in saying that the purple wire is for the levelling switch in the dashboard.

Will look at all of the info tomorrow and will hopefully have a working car again!

Thank you so much, will report back.

You're absolutely right , note that if one of them isn't plugged the other headlight won't work, the whole vacuum system needs to be a closed loop to work, can be tricky if you have a leak, keep us updated and good luck, try to show some more pics tomorrow as i'm curious how it'll look when i install mine !
