2002 C240 engine won't start
Hi, my 2002 c240 cannot start. There is no crank, no spinning of the starter motor at all. No malfunction showed up in dash board, all electronic devices work fine and lights don't dim. I found a similar problem in the forum:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...loss-here.html Following the suggestions there I have checked fuse #52 and all other fuses related to the engine but they are all fine. Could it be the battery? And the engine fan has a problem for a while, it always runs at the highest speed. It does not affect driving but makes a lot of noise. I had this problem last year and got it fixed by replacing "temperature control computer"(don't know the exact name.) But the problem showed up again after the cold winter. In my current starting problem, the fun begins to run(still at highest speed) after I fail to start the engine(so it seems it's using the battery power). Any idea about if the starting problem is possibly related to the fan problem? Thank you guys!! |
IF all you say is true it is the starter solenoid.

^+1^,
While it's NOT cranking, starter or bad battery are the most common..:) ZAYED,, |
