Bulb Substitution

Getting ready for an HID upgrade, I was browsing the Xenon activation instructions posted by Randy some time ago, and noticed a rather strange thing: according to one of the Star Diag screenshots, the "Replacement Light Function" is set to OFF by default... I wonder why?

Just a guess here - maybe "inactive" means simply that the system isn't functioning *at the moment* - in other words, none of your bulbs is burnt out.

Again, just a guess.

It would make sense if it was a diagnostics screen - but this is a SETTINGS screen, where you can make changes. So "Inactive" here either means that this function if off by default, or it was deactivated by Randy (?). Either way, it'd be interesting to know "why"... I kind of recall that one of the C240 owners complained that one of the bulbs had burnt out and no "bulb substitution" occured... Maybe this is the reason?
