Key Fob Issue
So I have a feeling there is a solution to this somewhere, but let me start by saying I have searched and searched and no solution seems to be solving my problem so I thought I'd ask.
About 2.5 weeks ago, a Wednesday night, I went to my car after some adult beverages to find the key fob didn't unlock the car. So I used the key key and drove. The next day I left to go out of town for 3 days, and while I was gone I replaced the battery in the fob. The red light came on when I pushed the buttons so I thought all was well. When I returned, the fob still didn't work.
I searched online for solutions on how to "re-sync" the key. I tried unlocking the door then putting the key in the ignition in the "on" position as quickly as possible.
I tried putting the key in the ignition, turning to "on" position - then pushing the lock button, then holding the unlock while pushing the lock button 5 times, waiting 5 seconds, then pushing a button again.
Nothing has worked. On 2 separate occasions the lock button worked, but that was all. The red light still comes on when I push the button, but it doesn't do anything on the car at all.
Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!
