Shift knob illuminates or no ?

I have a 04 c230k sedan 6 speed manual l. Is the shift lever suppose to illuminate and show the 1-6 numbers written on it ? Mine does not. If they are how do I change the bulb inside of it ?

Thanks

having had only sticks in my life (driving for 34 years) I've never seen a manual shift knob lit.

And no the MB 6sp is not illuminated, so you are not going to find a bulb anywhere

I would like to think that stick drivers are smarter as we don't need to be told what gear we are in

There are plenty of aftermarket knobs that light up for mannies; go on any Honda forum, and you'll find 'em.

That Brabus knob is really nice, btw.
