Wheel hub and/or bearing noise
Recently had my wheel hubs and bearings up front changed prior to my 1500 round trip drive to Canada. As of the past few weeks, if I drive the car continuously for 40 or so miles, I hear a loud sound on the passenger side wheel. It is hard to explain, but it is speed dependent and sounds like you're spinning the wheel on Wheel of Fortune. If I'm going highway speeds, I can't hear it, but anything below 45 it is loud and slows down when the car does. If the car sits for maybe an hour, it goes back to normal....until I drive for long periods of time again.
I'm taking it to the guys who did it in the coming days, but I wanted to see if anyone knew the reason behind it. Prior to changing the hub/bearing, I had no issues. I'm also not sure if this is a risk in terms of driving it. Although uncommon for me to drive more than 40mi in one shot (25mi drive to work at opposite ends of the day), it does happen once a week or so.
