w203 manual 6 speed gearbox issue
Hello there
I have recently been experiencing some issues with my 2005 cl203 6 speed manual cdi.
When the engine is first started that day (when cold) the gearbox tends to feel really tight changing into 2nd for the first time only. Occasionally it also makes a strange noise as i pull it out of 1st and feels like something hits the gearstick. However once warm it seems fine? No problems changing any other gears either.
any advice would be largely appreciated

The 6MT is usually iffy when cold. I spent quite some time this past winter in Indiana, and pretty much had to start off in 2nd gear when cold. Trying to shift 1st to 2nd with a cold tranny was not fun. Feels like the tranny is filled with sand.
I also went to college in Michigan where I had a MK4 Golf 5 speed, did the same thing.
Shifts like butter when warm tho...and yes, I have the correct fluid in there.

6 speed manual gearbox
Hello ppl,
Looking for some advice if anyone can help, I've recently purchased a c200 kompressor coupe, it's a 6 speed manual, my problem is I can't select second gear, every time I try there's a horrible crunching noise, every other gear is fine,
Just wandering if I require a new gearbox, or if I can repair my current box, any help would b greatly appreciated. Ty 😉

hi evryone i also got last weak a w203 2003 6manual and the first gear gets of itself it sems like somthink kick it out..this dont happend with other gears..now you think i have to change gearbox??!! thnx
