anyone of picture of C230 Kompressor Engine?

Does anyone have a good picture of a C230 K (2003) engine?

I think mine is missing part of the black plastic cover. I just want to make sure before I head in to the dealer (1.5 hours away) to have them put one on.

Also, anyone else experience rattles from the front dash speaker grill? (bose) I know many people have rattles from the moon roof (I do too), but I searched and didn't find any post about rattles with the center speaker on the dash. Mine is driving me crazy.

Also the seat belt holder (the little plastic piece that puts the seat belt closer to the seat so you can get a hold of it easier) snapped while I was moving the seat back a little. Is that covered under warranty? seem to get contradicting answers from different dealers (and even different people at the same dealer).

Thanks!

If your talking about the small black part on the front of the engine, mine was missing too. I went to the dealer...about 50% of the cars were missing it. He removed the part from a new one and put it on mine...he said most people dont notice it.

yes, that's the part I'm talking about, a small plastic cover maybe about the size of a paperback book.

The dealer I bought it from said it's suppose to be like that.
I'm hoping I can go to another dealer and have them put it on for me.

Thanks!

Just go back to your dealer and ask to open the hoods of the 1.8 cars...sedans and coupes. Eventually one will have it, then ask for the part.

The grille in the center of my dash rattled over rough pavement. If I laid my hand on the grille, the rattle would stop.

During the Service A, I noted it on the work order.

The technician noted that the grille was loose, and rattle was resovled by installing a small piece of felt under the grille.

The rattle is gone, so it seems to have worked well.

Hope that they can do the same for you!

can someone please post a pic of their engine compartment?

I went to the dealer last week, they kept the car for a week, they supposedly ordered the part and installed it. when I got home (2 hours later) and checked, it did not have the part on it!

They claim it is suppose to be exposed. Can someone post a pic so I can show them what I'm talking about?

thanks!

Yeah, what Erik said above. It'll be a lot faster doing that than waiting until someone finds the time to take a pic for you. The other option you have is you can always search thru the pic thread at the top.
