Different OEM Part Numbers for a radiator

Hey guys,

How come there is different OEM part numbers for a 2001 C240 Radiator? I called many dealerships and kept getting different OEM numbers.

Sorry for the noob question!

sometimes the old part number is superseded by a new one. If a new car shares the same part the number will update to that model.
