Unhappy Extreme battery drain

Hello, I have a problem with extreme battery drain on my C200, 2006.

Battery is pretty new (also tried other one), but when I leave car for 15mins or so (engine off, lights off, locked), after 15mins I cant even unlock the car.

Another problem is when I recharge the battery and start the engine, back lights are not working. Reverse, brake, turn.. Nothing is working at the rear. Front is ok.

Checked fuses, bulbs and alternator, everything seems ok.

Any idea what could be going on?

Really appreciate any reply, though, idea.. Thanks in advance.

First, get the owners manual. If you lost your copy, you can download it directly from MB.

The power seat module is a known problem in these cars, where it can drain the battery.
Try removing the fuse for the power seat, and see if that works.

If that doesn't work, you'd want to measure the current from the battery with the car off. It should be ~0.1 amps or less. Then, remove the fuses one at a time, until you find the area that is causing the battery drain.
You'll need to use a DVM and measure the current when the car is off. There are a ton of youtube videos on how to measure the battery drain in a car.

The rear stuff in the car doesn't work because the design for rear "SAM" sucks. The rear SAM has a tendency to die with the battery getting disconnected or connected. Yea, they didn't even design it with the same ant-spike protection that is dirt cheap and has been well known for ~100 years.
So, for a Benz, Dealers and people like me :-), use a battery anti-spike clamp when removing or installing the battery. The good ones are ~$100 (US). The cheap ones work as well as a dirty old smelly sock.

For the 2005 C230, I'm pretty sure that the rear SAM can be replaced with the exact part number, without the need for a dealer to do "SCN" coding to match the component to the system.
I don't know about your car and year.

What I use, and suggest, for anytime the battery is removed or connected!
